New Zealand Book Month 2013

From the 1st to the 31st of March New Zealand Book Month celebrates books and reading (especially New Zealand books) and encourages everyone, young and old, to get involved. Again this year $5.00 book vouchers are being distributed all over New Zealand - and from the 4th March you can download a voucher online.

The vouchers are valid until the end of March 2013 so remember to use yours before then.

Take a look at the display books in the library from next week - I'll be doing my best to make sure that during March almost all the books on display are by New Zealand authors. I'm sure you'll find at least one book that you want to read. Let me know which ones you enjoyed in a comment below, that way others will find out how good they are too!

You can find more information about New Zealand Book Month here.

    Back to School 2013

    I found this picture HERE

Welcome back to school for 2013. I hope you had a great time over the holidays, did some fun stuff and read some good books. If you think any would be great books to add to our library then please let me know, either come and visit me in the library or make a comment below.

In the library this week I'm updating the classroom lists and adding new students to the library database so that you're all in your correct classroom for 2013.

Next week things should be back to normal, with new books on display and the library will be open for classroom visits and also at lunchtime - if things go well we might even open this week so keep an eye on the notice outside the door just in case!

    See you soon.
